From its inception, WSPRA has been a very active organization, seeking to provide services to its members-an annual conference, workshops on current issues, specialized presentations, handbooks on specific topics, and networking. The National School Public Relations Association values the activities of its chapters and provides opportunities for its chapters to be recognized for activities and projects conducted throughout the year.

NSPRA Mark of Distinction
The National School Public Relations Association has recognized WSPRA as a Mark of Distinction Chapter several times.  WSPRA has received additional recognition as a chapter and for single projects:

2025-26: 

✓ Membership Building - 30% increase in chapter members who are NSPRA members

✓ Professional Development/Skill-Building - 2025-26 programs/activities to support the professional growth, status and communication skills of members.

✓ Special PR/Communication Program, Project or Campaign - planning and implementing a special PR/communication program, project or campaign—with a specific goal. WSPRA submitted the Wisconsin school funding video
✓ Coalition-Building/Collaborative Communication Efforts - Collaboration with the WI Department of Justice, Office of School Safety on crisis communication.
