WSPRA recognized as Exemplary Chapter

Exemplary-Chapter-2014WSPRA has once again earned National School Public Relations Association’s Exemplary Chapter Award, distinguishing the organization as the state’s leader in school-community relations, providing valuable professional development opportunities to its members.

The organization has earned this Mark of Distinction award each year since 2009. This year’s award is in the “Special Focus Area: Professional Development/PR Skill Building” for a year-round program.

“The judges were impressed with the comprehensive year-long program and WSPRA’s continued efforts to provide quality professional development and support for members that is timely and relevant, and that addresses a variety of communication topics,” NSPRA Executive Director Rich Bagin said in a letter announcing the award.

The WSPRA chapter will be recognized at a special ceremony at this year’s NSPRA seminar in Baltimore, Maryland.

Recognized chapters receive certificates and are recognized nationally as a Mark of Distinction winner. The chapter also receives a discount for the 2015 NSPRA seminar, a free PR Power Hour from NSPRA and a School Communication Workshop Kit from NSPRA.
