The Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) recently honored 25 school districts and organizations with Spectrum Awards of Excellence and Spectrum Awards of Merit for exceptional work in school communications.

WSPRA presented the Spectrum Awards at its recent annual conference in Stevens Point, Wis. See full list below.

Spectrum Awards recognize high-quality public relations efforts produced by or on behalf of Wisconsin school districts.

“Spectrum Award winners exemplify the very best communications work in school districts across the state,” said WSPRA President Kevin Hickman. “The winners demonstrate the value of engaging stakeholders in order to build community support for Wisconsin’s public schools.”

WSPRA’s Spectrum Awards are judged by members of the Illinois School Public Relations Association (INSPRA) on a four-point scale in four areas: goals and objectives, research and planning, execution and evaluation and results.

Also honored were special award winners, including:

  • The Tipler Founders’ Scholarship Award (presented to Mary Lofy, Sheboygan Falls School District)
  • The Holtshopple Scholarship Awards (presented to Joelle Doye, Mineral Point)
  • The Past President’s Awards (presented to Kit Dailey, WSPRA past president)
